StypCel™ is a non-woven fabric which is based on absorbable material prepared by the oxidation of regenerated cellulose. This non-woven haemostat consists of multilayer of oxidized regenerated cellulose fibre, appearing white or slight yellow.
It offers more convenience than the knitted fabric, because it allows the surgeon to grasp the required amount of StypCel™ for the bleeding site. The oxidized regenerated cellulose is widely used and disappears within a period of approx 7-14 days. Other benefits include:
